Delivering Seamless Integration at the World Water Forum 2024
Client Brief
Congress Rental supported three major meetings during the 10th World Water Forum 2024, held in Bali:
-
Summit of Country Leaders – 20 May, BICC
-
Parliamentary Meeting – 20–21 May, BNDCC
These were high-level discussions hosted by Indonesia’s government, attended by heads of state, foreign ministers, and parliament members. The expectation was flawless simultaneous interpretation across multiple languages, for both onsite and hybrid formats.

Our Solution
With extensive experience in high-level international events, Congress Rental was the obvious choice to deliver interpretation and conferencing solutions at the scale required by the WWF 2024.
Summit (BICC)
Congress Rental provided interpretation in 10 languages: English, Indonesian, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Portuguese, Tajik, and Japanese. A total of 1,150 headsets were distributed for delegates to access interpretation in real-time. The setup included 46 conference microphones with built-in language selection features. Although interpreters were located remotely in interpreter chambers on another level, audio was routed seamlessly to two key halls—Mangupura (plenary) and Nusantara (leaders’ meeting).
Parliamentary Meeting (BNDCC)
This meeting required a hybrid interpretation setup. Congress Rental supported six onsite languages; Indonesian, Korean, Russian, as well as three remote languages; Spanish, Arabic, and French via Interprefy. The configuration included 70 discussion microphones, 270 headsets for delegates, and six interpreter booths. Interpretation audio was delivered both through delegate microphones and wireless receivers, ensuring consistent access across the venue.
"With multiple halls, 10 languages, and leaders relying on our system, we knew there was zero margin for error.”

Challenges and Solutions
Distant Interpretation Chambers (Summit)
Interpreters were stationed in a hub, away from the main meeting rooms, and interpretation audio had to be reliably routed to two different halls without fail.
Congress Rental’s solution involved a diligent 10-day advance setup with careful cabling, routing, and redundancy testing, as well as round-the-clock onsite tech support.
Hybrid Complexity (Parliamentary Meeting)
Although fewer devices were used, the hybrid setup was more intricate. Interprefy integration added layers of complexity for language switching and output control.
Congress Rental’s solution involved flawless hybrid integration, synchronisation of remote and onsite audio feeds, as well as real-time monitoring and signal management.

The Outcome
Congress Rental enabled three simultaneous, high-stakes meetings to run smoothly—with zero technical errors.
The result was a full solution across the Summit and the Parliament, supporting 10 languages including Tajik, which is uncommon. This enabled high-level participation from leaders, MoFAs, and parliamentarians, whereby Congress Rental didn’t just deliver services, but delivered confidence, clarity, and control on a world stage.
